| Dear Members and Friends
of Central: The study group, consisting of members of Central,
that has been meeting on Saturday mornings for several months
to review the proposed Social Statement on Human Sexuality for
the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is wondering what
our congregation thinks about this whole thing, and has formulated
a survey.
In completing the survey, please consider the whole process
of:
- 3 Journey Together studies **
- The Conference of Bishops’ recommendations on the
status of Visions
and Expectations **
- The Conference of Bishop’s recommendations
on the status and definition
of marriage within the ELCA**
- The ignoring and violation of the recommendations and policies
of the ELCA by a couple of Bishops
- The actions of the Churchwide Assemblies
- The actions of the Northwest
Washington Synod **
- Bishop Boerger’s recent visit to Central
- The Lutheran articles **
- Conversations
- And the proposed
draft of the Social Statement on Human Sexuality for the
ELCA **
** Links to information on these items can be found on the
Church Website: www.centrallutheran.net
If you still have questions before completing this survey, please
attend a special Sunday school session (date to be determined)
This is a non-scientific survey as the only responses considered
will be those returned. A couple of opportunities will be giving
to complete the survey, and we depend upon your honesty to only
submit one per person. The results will be shared.
Thank you,
Study group members (with council permission)

6) [] [] This issue doesn’t affect me personally so I’m
really not concerned about what happens.
