Central Preschool is a Christian, play based preschool that encourages children to experiment and explore their environment.  Our goal is that every child will feel successful, feel good about themselves and know that they are a precious and beloved child of God!

Kids' Central is an all-year open enrollment school, meaning children who are at least 3-years-old and potty trained are welcome to join us anytime throughout the year, space permitting.  Our facility is handicap accessible. As a Christian family, we believe that discrimination of any kind is completely unacceptable. Kids' Central Preschool does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, ancestry or handicap. A non-refundable, annual registration free of $60 is due at the time of registration in order to insure your child's place in the program.  Tuition is due the first week of every month.  Our school year runs from mid-September to Memorial Day weekend in May. We welcome scheduled visits/tours of the school anytime and encourage you to come see the space and meet our staff or call anytime with questions. Give us a call today!

About Our Teachers...

 

Greetings! My name is Laurie Bunnell and I would like to introduce myself as the Program Director and Lead Teacher for Kids' Central Preschool at Central Lutheran Church.  It is a great honor to participate in one of your child's first school experiences.  I am passionate about creating a safe, fun, loving, faith based classroom for your children that will nurture a life-long love of learning.  

I grew up in Santa Barbara, CA where I loved school, choir, and hanging out with my friends. I attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA where I received a BS in Organizational Management. After that I got married, had 2 kids, and lived in the S.F Bay Area, Seattle and Berkeley, before we moved to Bellingham 16 years ago.  I have spent the years here taking care of my family and running my own real estate staging business (If you want to sell it, Stage-it!).

When my youngest went off to College I reconnected with what I love to do, which is loving and teaching children.  I have received my AA in Early Childhood Development from Whatcom Community College and I am thrilled continue my journey here as part of the KCP family.

Hello, my name is Tessa Smith. I am 19 years old and I am in my second year at Whatcom Community College. I am passionate about working with people and love working with kids. I have volunteered in the nursery at First Presbyterian Church for the past four years. I also loved participating in a Mission trip to Mexico where I volunteered at a children's home. That trip was a highlight! I am so excited to get this year started and meet your children!
